Deutz Marlborough Cuvée marries the best of New Zealand grapes with traditional French Champagne making techniques. The exquisite result of a winemaking partnership that began in 1988 with the prestigious House of Champagne Deutz in France, Deutz is a multi-award-winning New Zealand sparkling wine range with four méthode traditionnelle wines that span seasons, tastes and occasions.
Deutz complements the gorgeous fruit flavours of Marlborough grapes with traditional French Champagne-making techniques, resulting in refined, elegant wines of exceptional quality.
In 1988, a historic agreement was signed with the Champagne house of Deutz which resulted in 10 years of consultation that saw the French winemakers sharing their knowledge of sparkling winemaking and viticulture. Specialist equipment, including a gentle Coquard wine press, was introduced, and in 1990 the first New Zealand Deutz Marlborough Cuvée wine arrived.
The Deutz Marlborough Cuvée range is continually recognised for its quality and has seen repeat success in sparkling wine tastings year after year.
